TIMMINS, Ont. – The Timmins Rock picked up their second straight win to begin November as they skated past the Hearst Lumberjacks 5-1 in Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League action Sunday evening at McIntyre Arena to the delight of the 727 fans in attendance.

It was all Timmins in the middle session however as they struck three times in a span of 11 and a half minutes to gain the upper hand.
Jace Sorocko’s first goal of the season drew the Rock level at 7:22 before Alexandre Brisson notched the eventual game-winner at 18:23.
Timmins came right back and got another 24 seconds later when Stewart Parnell scored for a fourth straight outing and ran a point streak to six along the way.
The Rock would tack on two more in the third to secure the victory off of efforts from C.J. Bradburn at 4:03 and Brisson’s second of the night, coming in the final minute of play, while his team was shorthanded.
Shots on goal in the goal favoured Timmins by a 35-22 count with Eric Jackson earning the win and Artem Bortovskiy the loss.
