NOJHL names its Rogers 3 Stars of the Week

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) announced Monday that the forward trio of Hugo Allard (Hearst Lumberjacks); Deven Jones-McDonald (Soo Thunderbirds) and Daks Klinkhammer (Greater Sudbury Cubs) have been named its Rogers 3 Stars of the Week for the period ending January 25.

Hugo Allard, (F) Hearst Lumberjacks – The 19-year-old from Nicolet, Que., scored in all three Hearst victories over the time frame, including notching a game-winner to close out his week.

Allard also dished out a pair of assists helping the Lumberjacks move into sole possession of third spot in the NOJHL standings.

Coming out of the Ontario Hockey Academy Prep program in Cornwall, Ont., Allard is in his second campaign with Hearst  and has already set personal single-season highs in goals; assists and points with eight; 14 and 22 respectively.

Deven Jones-McDonald, (F) Soo Thunderbirds – Hailing from Garden River, Ont., the contributions of the 18-year-old Jones-McDonald helped the Thunderbirds pick-up five of a possible six points in a three-game road trip.

His 12th multi-point outing of 2025-26 saw him supply a trio of helpers in an overtime setback at Timmins Friday, before collecting his 13th with a goal and assist in a victory at Iroquois Falls Saturday, then capped off his weekend by notching a man advantage effort as part of a shutout win in Kirkland Lake Sunday.

Jones-McDonald, who played his minor hockey on both sides of the border in Sault Ste. Marie, sits second in offensive production with the T-Birds this season on 43 points, in 36 contests, including 17 tallies.

Daks Klinkhammer, (F) Greater Sudbury Cubs –
During an unbeaten week, the veteran 20-year-old Klinkhammer registered back-to-back three-point efforts for first place Greater Sudbury, who were the initial club to clinch a playoff spot this season.

The alumnus of the Ajax-Pickering Raiders system, had the difference maker, to go with another goal, in a home-ice result over Kirkland Lake, then doled out three assists, highlighted by one on a late tying tally at Powassan Friday.

Klinkhammer currently sits sixth in NOJHL scoring on 58 points, in 37 matchups, with personal highs in both tallies and assists with 22 and 36 respectively.
