NOJHL announces Hearst – Powassan series schedule

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Friday the game schedule for its East Division semifinal playoff series between the Hearst Lumberjacks and Powassan Voodoos.

Hearst will host the opening two contests in the best-of-seven match-up at Claude Larose Recreation Centre on Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22, in a pair of 7:30 p.m. starts.

The clubs will then head to the Powassan Sportsplex for the third and fourth meetings, which go Tuesday, March 26 and Wednesday, March 27 at 7 p.m.

It’s back to Hearst for Game 5, if necessary, on Friday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. while the Voodoos would serve as the home side in a Game 6, should it be required, on Sunday, March 31, with a 7 p.m. face off.

If needed, the Lumberjacks will host a seventh and deciding contest on Tuesday, April 2, that would get underway at 7:30 p.m.

The winner of the series will meet either the Timmins Rock or Iroquois Falls Storm in the East final.
