HEARST, Ont. – The Hearst Lumberjacks are proud to announce the signing of highly-regarded goalie Liam Oxner. The 2001 Halifax, Nova Scotia native who stands at 5’10’’ and weighs at 175lbs compiled a 2.43 Goals Against Average last year with a Save Percentage of 0.920 in the regular season for the Halifax McDonald’s AAA midget hockey team. He added a 2.20 GAA in the playoffs with a SP of 0.921 to help carry his team all the way to the National Championship. Again at the Telus Cup, he played really well compiling a GAA of 2.03 with a SP of 0.941. Coach Lafleur is very happy that Liam has decided to join the Lumberjacks for the coming season. Liam is a quick goalie with a very high compete level. He presents a tremendous attitude and exemplifies hard work. Let’s give a warm welcome to Liam to Lumberjacks Nation.
