SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Wednesday a number of game changes for contests this weekend.
Of note, all three road match-ups the Hearst Lumberjacks had scheduled have all been postponed as a number of their players have tested positive and the team has entered league and provincial-mandated COVID protocols.
With that, and out of abundance of caution, it was decided to call off those games and reschedule them to a later date.
Thus the following are the three new games that will be on tap instead, which all involve the Cochrane Crunch:
Friday, March 4
Cochrane Crunch @ Soo Thunderbirds
7 p.m.
GFL Memorial Gardens
Saturday, March 5
Cochrane Crunch @ Soo Eagles
7 p.m.
Pullar Stadium
Sunday, March 6
Cochrane Crunch @ Blind River Beavers
2 p.m.
Blind River Community Centre
The make-up dates and times for the postponed Hearst contests will be announced by the league once they are finalized.
