MJHL’s Selkirk Steelers No. 1 in initial CJHL Top 20 Rankings

TORONTO – The initial Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade, for the 2025-26 season sees the Selkirk Steelers (MJHL) come in at No. 1.

Hudson Frieson’s club has begun play in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League with a 5-0 record while averaging six goals per-game to begin their campaign.

Tabbed No. 2 in the listings, which are compiled by an independent scouting service, are the Humboldt Broncos (SJHL).

Humboldt has also started their season well, having yet to taste defeat in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League with a 5-0 mark.

Slotted at No. 3 nationally are the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Whitecourt Wolverines.

The Wolverines have kicked off their year with four victories in as many matchups and sport an AJHL-best plus-11 goal differential.

Meanwhile, another SJHL side, in the Flin Flon Bombers, come in at No. 4, having gone 4-0 heading into October.

Rounding out the Top 5 in the first weekly rankings are Collège Français de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ).

They presently top the 13-team Quebec AAA Junior Hockey League table at 7-0, having only allowed 13 tallies against.
